Facts Over Fear: Tackling Prostate Cancer in the Black Community

TAARAC is set to host an important community seminar titled “Facts Over Fear”, aimed at raising awareness about prostate cancer in the Black community.

The event will take place on Thursday 14th August 2025, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, at Redbridge Sports & Leisure’s Norman Booth Building.

Attendees will hear from a panel of speakers sharing their personal experiences with prostate cancer, helping to spark conversation and encourage early detection. The evening will also feature a special guest appearance from Errol McKellar MBE, founder of The Errol McKellar Foundation, who has dedicated his work to increasing awareness around men’s health.

The seminar is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided. Parking is available on-site for just £1.50 for 3 hours, and the venue is located next to Fairlop Station.

The event is supported by Macmillan Cancer Support and is part of TAARAC’s ongoing commitment to improving health outcomes within the community.
