Exciting Improvements at Redbridge Sports & Leisure

We’ve been busy investing in Redbridge Sports & Leisure to enhance your experience, with exciting new facilities already open and several major improvements arriving over the coming months.

✅ New Wellness Studio Opened
Our dedicated Wellness Studio is now open, offering a welcoming space for wellbeing-focused classes and activities.

✅ Spinning Studio Refurbished
The Spinning Studio has also received a complete makeover, including the installation of brand-new Technogym bikes for an even better cycling experience.

You can view and book classes in both studios through the RSL Mobile App under Gym & Fitness.

✅ Digital Improvements Coming Soon
We’re upgrading our Gladstone membership and booking systems to make joining, booking activities and managing memberships easier and more convenient than ever.

✅ Coming Soon: Padel at RSL!

One of the most exciting additions to RSL this year is the arrival of three brand-new padel courts, currently under construction in partnership with Padel United UK.

Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, combining the best elements of tennis and squash in a fun, social and easy-to-learn format. Suitable for all ages and abilities, it’s a fantastic way to stay active and meet new people.

When the courts open later this year, players will be able to enjoy:

• Court bookings via the Playtomic App
• Coaching and introductory sessions
• Social play opportunities
• Leagues and competitions
• A new way to stay active with friends and family

We’re excited to bring this popular sport to Redbridge and create a new hub for padel players across the borough.

Existing RSL members will also be able to bolt-on a dedicated Padel Membership, giving access to discounts of up to 50% on court bookings, coaching and organised activities.

More Improvements Arriving This September

✅ Norman Booth Men’s Changing Rooms Refurbishment

Work begins on 1 September on the complete refurbishment of the Norman Booth Men’s Changing Rooms, creating modern facilities that complement the investment already made across the Centre.

The project is expected to take approximately six weeks. During this period, male customers can use the Tennis Changing Rooms, including temporary Health Suite access, or the shower facilities within the Jean Brown Indoor Arena.

✅ Extended Weekend Opening Hours

From 1 September, we’ll be extending our weekend opening hours until 8:00pm, giving members even more flexibility to fit fitness, sport and wellbeing activities into your weekends.

Opening times will be:

• Saturday: 7:00am to 8:00pm
• Sunday: 8:00am to 8:00pm
